DX Courier Integration

DX Courier Integration

Overview

In this guide, we will explain how to connect DX with your Mintsoft account.

Available Integrations

DX has many different integrations available:
Freight (one man)
Express (secure)
Note: Freight Two-Man and Freight International Two-Man are not supported by Mintsoft.

DX Freight (One Man) Integration Setup

1. Go to Connect Courier Integrations - DX - Add Account, then:
2. Ensure the Account Type is set to OneManDelivery
3. The username and password for this setup is fixed across all connections - the data is transmitted to an FTP server and is prepopulated for you by Mintsoft
4. Add the Account Number
5. Add the Depot Code (not to be confused with the name)
6. Click Add to save the account
7. Account number & the home depot code is required to set this account up, and a consignment range will need to be set by DX.

You can then enable the DX One Man services on your database
1. Go to Shipping Management
2. Click Couriers
3. Next, click on Show All Couriers
4. Find the DX One Man courier
5. Click Edit
6. Turn Active to ON
7. Finally, click Update

DX Express (Secure) Setup

This connection uses API credentials - the contacts above can issue them for you.
1. Go to Connect Courier Integrations - DX - Add Account, then:
2. Ensure the Account Type is set to TwoManDelivery or DxExpress
Note: Check with DX to confirm what account you have
3. Enter the username and password that were provided by DX
4. Add the Account Number
5. Set the Depot Code value to 0
6. Click Add to save the account

Adding DX Express Services

The courier service codes for this integration are unique across every DX account so cannot be preconfigured for you. To get started with the above, you can enable the DX Express Test Service on your database by completing the following:
1. Go to Shipping Management
2. Click Couriers
3. Next, click on Show All Couriers
4. Find the DX Express courier
5. Click Edit
6. Turn Active to ON
7. Finally, click Update
8. Run a test shipment for this DX service to reveal the custom services
9. Once done please follow Step: Mapping the services
10. If you cannot find the DX Express courier please complete the following:

Adding a Courier

1. Create a Courier called DX (Shipping Management then Couriers)
2. Then create a Courier Service called DX within the new DX Courier
3. Next, go to Shipping Management then Extras
4. Click Courier Service Codes then Add New Courier Service Code
5. Choose Courier as DX_Express
6. Click Create
7. Next, go to Shipping Management then Extras
8. Click Courier Service Code Mappings then Add New Courier Service Code Mapping
9. Choose CourierServiceId as DX
10. Choose CourierServiceCodeId as DX_Express
11. Then click Map
12. Run a test shipment for this DX service to reveal the custom services:
(Do not be alarmed by the error message: "Specified Service Not Found: BLANK-CODE Services found: ...", this is just a notification that the Courier service codes for the listed custom services have been added to Mintsoft)

Note: Service names are separated by the client name so "xxxxxx xxxxxx Leave Safe, 24 Hour, Leave Safe DX2H, 08:00 - 18:00 xxxxxx xxxxxx Leave Safe, 24 Hour, Leave Safe DX2H, AM Pre 1" becomes:
xxxxxx xxxxxx Leave Safe, 24 Hour, Leave Safe DX2H, 08:00 - 18:00
xxxxxx xxxxxx Leave Safe, 24 Hour, Leave Safe DX2H, AM Pre 1

Mapping the Services

Codes will automatically be written to your database.  These can then be mapped to the service.
1. Go to Shipping Management then Extras
2. Click Courier Service Codes
3. You will see the new DX codes that were added
4. Choose one of the entries in the list for this example I will use -
xxxxxx xxxxxx Signature Box, 24 Hour, Signature, 08:00 - 18:00
5. Go to Shipping Management then Couriers
6. Click DX then add a new service taking off your company name but using the main part of the code -
xxxxxx xxxxxx Signature Box, 24 Hour, Signature, 08:00 - 18:00
7. Go to Shipping Management then Extras
8. Click Courier Service Code Mappings then Add New Courier Service Code Mapping
9. Choose CourierServiceId as the service you just added
10. Choose CourierServiceCodeId as the code that matches that service
11. Repeat this for all the services within Courier Service Codes
