Shopify Multi-Site Connections

Shopify Multi-Site Connections

Overview

In this guide, we will provide some guidance on best practises when connecting multiple Shopify accounts to the OMS.

Connecting Shopify

  1. If you wish to connect a new, or additional Shopify account, please get in touch. We will then put you in touch with our Integrations Team, who will be happy to help and work with you no getting the additional Shopify account added to your account for you.
  2. For more information on the connection, and how this can be set up, please click here
  3. For Shopify, we will need from you:

If using the official Mintsoft App - Store URL, Location ID

Please note: when using the official Mintsoft Shopify app, a user token is automatically generated and assigned to the connection when installed in Shopify and verified. Any kind of app installation is done once Expandly partially setup connection with Store URL Location ID and notify client to complete steps in Shopify.
If using Custom App - Store URL, Location ID and/or API key/password

Important things to consider when connecting multiple Shopify Accounts

  1. If your multiple Shopify sites share the same order number sequences, you will need to set up an Order Prefix - this will then work as a differentiator between the orders across the different sites and will allow all orders to import successfully into the OMS:

  1. As default, only Paid orders will import into the OMS (this is due to the fact that in most scenarios, you would want us, as your 3PL, to only fulfil orders that have been paid for). If for any reason you require any other orders, at a different status, to import, this can be set up via the 'Advanced' tab, where you can specify the Financial Statuses you wish to import:

Please Note: ANY orders that import into the OMS, Expandly will assume are ready to be fulfilled. If you do not wish for us to fulfil any orders other than paid, we would not recommend setting up for any other Financial Statuses to import
  1. Draft Orders cannot import into the OMS. If orders are in 'Draft' on Shopify, these will not come into the system. It will only be once you have confirmed, and created and order number off the back of a draft order, that these will import in to the OMS for you.
